Mountain road with toll. In good weather, this is a must go place. I'll repeat myself, a really beautiful place that you can easily spend the whole day on if you're not in a hurry.

Slowly after every kilometer you'll come across a parking lot that offers completely different views than the previous one, but if any place stands out among the others, it's definitely Edelweispitze (2572m). Perhaps the best photos we have from our trip with David are from here, see for yourself.

My only regret now is that we didn't stay longer and go to the top of the Baumgartlkogel (2623m), Brennkogel (3018m) or many other places that you usually can't get to except by going over the pass. Don't make the mistake I often do and don't be in such a hurry, enjoy every second, you'll have nothing but memories afterwards anyway, so make it worth it.

If you happen to be looking for the most famous and largest glacier in Austria and the eastern Alps, it's the Pasterze. Again, the only way to reach it is via a pass. As I said, it's a day trip, this is a place not to just drive through, but to enjoy, you won't find anything like it anywhere else.
