Wherever you go near Lech, you will almost always find interesting places after a few kilometres. One of them is the lake Butzensee or the peak Mohnenfluh (2544m).

I admit, the road to the lake is not very interesting. Almost all the time you walk through the ski resort and you have to climb another 400 meters of elevation gain after using the two cable cars Peterbodehbahn and Bergbahn. If we didn't have the lifts free thanks to the guest cards, we wouldn't have chosen this route.

On the other hand, the moment you get to the Mohnenfluhsattel pass (2315m), you get a wonderful view of the lake in the mountain saddle with the Butzenspitze peak (2547m) in the background.

The ski resort suddenly disappears and you feel that you are once again in pure alpine nature. You can take a break at the lake and take the circular route back or head for the summit mentioned at the beginning. This is a relatively easy hike that almost anyone can do. But there are certainly more interesting places in the area.

For example, the Rufispitze peak (2632m)
