I came across this peak by accident while browsing maps. I was intrigued that there are rocky sharp mountain peaks all around and in the middle of nowhere is an equally high mountain with nothing but grass growing. I hadn't tried walking on grassy ridges before, so the plan was clear.
The climb gave me quite a hard time, it was after the rain and the path was quite muddy in the last third of the way. The huge grassy area looked incredible for the entire climb. I got to the top via the Sommerbergjöchle pass. Bringing your dog is definitely not a problem, just be careful of the sheep grazing here. Their owner lives in the village of Bichlbächle, where you park.
At the top I thought I would have to go back the same way. I couldn't see any trail on the ridge from a distance, and going down from the top looked difficult in itself, the ground was slippery and really quite steep. But I trusted the maps that had the trail marked on them and headed down, I don't like going back the same way, you know that for sure. Well, it was a mistake.
There was something of a trail here for a time and I did indeed walk the entire ridge. It was fine until the trail completely disappeared and a very steep overgrown grassy slope appeared in front of me. I could have turned around and walked back for about 5 hours or tried to somehow make it down to the village. I tried it, I survived, but it was a really bad idea, I slipped about 5 times and came back to the car covered in mud. I originally wanted to bike down this hill, haha, impossible.
