Do you want to experience what it is like to climb almost 500 metres in less than 2 kilometres? Then you are in the right place.

The Jöchelspitze is rather the first stop on your journey through the Allgäu Alps. If you have enough strength and time, you can continue on to Großer Krottenkopf (2656m) or Rothorn (2392m).

We opted for a longer route with less elevation gain around the Mutte peak (2187m) towards the Alepengasthof Bernhardseck mountain hut. It's a fairly easy hike, but we didn't enjoy the journey from the hut back to the cable car, comparing it to other places we had visited on our trip.
