Höllentalklamm
Elevation: 650m / Lenght: 10km / Time: 3,5h
Visit rate: 3/5 / Rating: 5/5
If I had to recommend one single gorge to visit in my life, I would choose this one. The gorge is closed during the winter. It usually opens in late spring or early summer depending on snow conditions.

On arrival you will be surprised by the 13 eur parking fee for 12 hours parking (minimum). The walk to the gorge will take approximately 40 minutes and definitely wear waterproof clothing.
It was after the rain, the water current was strong and
water was flowing from the rocks almost everywhere. It was really impossible to
avoid the water and not get wet.
The gorge is quite long and you definitely won't get bored
here, it's not a leisurely walk, you have to be careful where you step, where
you don't get soaked and most importantly where to take a nice photo.
Once you get to the end of the gorge you can continue
further up the mountain to the mountain hut, take the ferrata to the top of the
Zugspitze, Höllenterkopf, go back the same way or take the Stangensteig
mountain trail which goes right above the gorge, this is the one I chose.
And it was a good choice. This trail is an example of
perfect mountain hiking, I give it 10 out of 10, it is in some places
theoretically a ferrata of difficulty A, but it is not at all difficult, anyone
who can walk can do it. Those who don't like heights will probably have a bit
of trouble in a few places.
I don't usually visit the same places twice, but I would
definitely like to come here again and continue further into the mountains.
UPDATE: I've been here twice already :)
