Maybe the best experience in recent years, I recommend it to everyone! According to the weather on Bergfex and the Italian Hydrometeorological Institute, very strong storms were supposed to arrive in the Dolomites around early afternoon, but during the morning the sky was almost cloudless and we had to take advantage of it.
As soon as I got off the cable cars I was amazed at the splendour I could see before my eyes. I came to feel like I was on a gigantic stone island and the whole world was beneath you. While it's 25 degrees in the parking lot of the cable car, up at almost 3000 meters it's 15 or less and there's snow all around you. You couldn't ask for better weather.
We immediately thought of going on an expedition to the top of Piz Boe (3152m). But since the path was very dangerous, we decided to turn back a little after the mountain hut in the Forcella Pordoi pass and enjoy the views around us. It felt like another world here, you don't want to leave, you just sit there and don't believe what is around you, what nature can create. I don't often go back to the same place twice, but I must climb Piz Boe peak in the next few years no matter what and see this incredible scenery again without snow.
